What is the current situation?
Following the Federal Council's press conference of 13 March 2020, new measures have been taken at national level to limit the spread of COVID-19.
Several of these directives have an impact on the social and tourist life of Crans-Montana.
Thus, the destination has taken the following measures :
- The ski lift company is forced to close the ski area from March 14 to April 30.
- The hotels are closed to the public from Tuesday 17 March at midnight.
- All food service establishments are closed to the public as of Monday, March 16 at 6:30 p.m., with the exception of home delivery and food distribution services, and take-away services at the counter.
- Shops, stores and markets are closed, with the exception of grocery stores and basic necessities stores such as pharmacies.
- Regional transport as well as station shuttle buses are maintained according to the usual schedule.
- Several events are cancelled, including the Snow Party, the Easter Classical Concert and the Ski Food Safari.
- The Moubra Sports Centre, the Chalet Alaïa, the ice rink, the curling rink, the Casino, the Opal Foundation, the cinema, the library, the tourist kindergarden and the Bibi house are closed until further notice.
We also suggest that you have a look at the website www.crans-montana.ch for information on the various activities, events and public places.
Free outdoor activities, such as hiking, Noas golf course or the Bibi Treasure Hunt, are still accessible.
In all cases, safety instructions must be strictly observed and we encourage people who have symptoms to stay home to protect the entire population.
In general, it is recommended to check directly with the provider before going to an activity or establishment.
I had planned a ski trip to Crans-Montana between March 13 and April 30, what should I do?
Any entry into the matter for possible compensation must be made in writing to the ski lift sales department. Please send an email with your request to: firstname.lastname@example.org mentioning your name, first name, order number and telephone number. For ski passes purchased at the cash desk, please attach a photo of the pass. Due to the situation and the high demands of our customer service, the response time can be relatively long.
If you have benefited from an accommodation + ski package, please contact your hotel or your rental agency as it is up to them to start the administrative procedures.
I had booked an event on the ski area, will I be refunded?
If you had booked an event organised by the ski area (sunrise, first tracks...) between March 13th and April 30th 2020. You will be reimbursed. Please send your request to email@example.com with your contact details. You will get an answer within 2-3 days. The refund period may be longer due to the administrative burden of our services.
I have a locker at one of the 3 departures, I wish to collect my belongings and return my keys, how should I proceed?
Please send us an us an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can make arrangements when the normal course of things resumes.
Can I go to the ski area when it is not open?
The ski area is open to the public but access is your individual responsibility. The ski lifts do not serve the slopes and safety is not ensured by our patrollers. We would like to point out that in this period of thaw, the danger of avalanches is increased. If you decide to go to the ski area by your own means, we strongly encourage you to favour early morning outings, consult the avalanche warning system, do not leave the slopes, bring an avalanche transceiver kit (shovel, probe, DVA) and be accompanied by another person (and avoid group outings).
I have a Magic Pass and I can't use it at the end of the season, what are the compensations?
I bought a Pass 365 / Pass 365 + or a day pass valid from May 1st 2020, am I impacted?
Today the directives issued by the Federal Council force us to keep the ski area closed until April 30th. After this date, the company should resume its activities. We will keep you actively informed of the situation via email and will take the necessary measures when the next steps are known.
I have a voucher. a gift card or a ski card for a day valid until the end of the season, what can I do?
